The neuroscience of exercise through hypotheses, such as frontal asymmetry and hypofrontality, investigates the acute effect of exercise on cortical and cognitive-affective responses. Also physical conditioning and behavioral traits are inherent variables for adherence to an exercise program and for the mental health maintenance, both known as world public health concern. Then, this sandwich PhD project proposes mainly to improve knowledge on new brain techniques (i.e. EEG, NIRS, fMRI) in the Goethe-Universität psychiatry department.
